Health Care Reform

After an arduous journey through the California bureaucracy, my monthly health insurance premium is going from $187 to $241 a month. This is for coverage that doesn't even start until I've spent $5,000 (or, roughly, 333 chickens) a year.

I haven't used the policy since I began coverage. I have aged however. But I don't think I have anything to do with the rate increase. As a wise man once said, 'Mongo is mere pawn in game of life.'

My position on health care reform is: I don't know which is more pathetic. Republicans acting like god himself has died as a result of the health care reform bill passing, or Democrats acting like they've accomplished something.
