It's been a busy week and I'm just catching up on some stuff.
Al Rodda, one of the truly great California legislators, has died.
This laudatory, albeit brief, review of Sen. Rodda's career explains it.
Understand that DrTaxSacto holds completely opposite views of the role of government from mine, but we agree about Sen. Rodda and John Doolittle. The ability to agree on the big things is what gives me hope. :-)
The state of the state here in California can be placed at the feet of the electorate. Any citizenry that would replace Al Rodda with John Doolittle gets exactly what it deserves.

Uncle Ray was really "great-uncle" Ray. Last time I saw him was about 5 years ago when we were back in Huron for Dad's inurnment.
